Description
8vo, XIV 210pp. Hardcover in black cloth boards with gilt titling on a firm spine and minor corner scuffing with cream pictorial front and rear d/w with some chipping and wear on all edges plus a small 1cm tear on rear d/w now protected by clear archival covering, text is in an excellent state and all the numerous b/w photographic illustrations are likewise present and unmarked. Virtually no foxing either and o/t for the minor d/w excoriations, the book would be overall near fine. This is the first book devoted wholly to Leonard and Virginia Woolf, the two people who best represent the spirit and quality of Bloomsbury, drawing extensively on the massive Woolf archives at Sussex University, from their courtship in 1911 to her suicide in 1941.
