Description

18mo. Contemporary rebinding in full morroco, with 5 raised bindings and blind decorative stamping to the front cover; gilt spine title and date; new endpapers, interior in vg cond cond with a few notations by owner at time of publication. The first part includes the frontis engraved by Van Hove and 31 other plates and one foldout plate displaying mu;tiple coats of arms in gropus of 9 or 12 to a single plate; the second part has three seperate title pages and a further four plates each containing twelve different coats of arms. While the author has not been name it is suspected to be Payne Fisher who was Poet Laureate to Oliver Cromwell.
