8vo, 255pp. Hardcover in dark blue cloth in very good condition with a tight spine though only trimmed remants of d/w exist and are included within, plus there is minor soiling of all edges, text is also in very good condition with some light brown part-staining of the ep’s and a neat dated ownership stamp adorns the top corner of the ffep. Arguably one of the most important books in American history, this was the writing that inflamed and drove the people of the colonies to the cause of the American Revolution. It was a clear and passonate document for freedom from the English Crown and when it was written in January 1776, over half a million copies were rapidly sold.
