Description
8vo, XIX, 240pp. Hardcover in blue cloth with discoloured edges and faded but still firm spine with the gilt title on a small crimson background and a well worn and damaged unclipped d/w now protected by clear archival covering and neatly repaired; all pages are intact and firmly attached though all are age-yellowed with edge browning and soiling too plus flecked edges. Overall the well loved book is fair to good at best. A heavily read volume about a genuine American family that became the basis of a beautiful and joyous film said to be the merriest, jolliest, happiest book of the year in 1950. It remains a relatively uncommon find nevertheless.
