Now protected in clear archival covering, text and all diagrams and photos in pristine condition devoid of any marks or annotations with attractive illustrated grey and white end-papers. The flies tied for the photos in this book are by two of New Zealand’s greatest fly-tiers John Morton and Brian Hussey. This slim volume is an amazingly good and simple primer for the beginner to fly-fishing and tying whilst still valuable to the flytying enthusiast as well. The diagrams are basic and not overcomplicated and include illustrated lessons on situations likely to be met out on the river and how to use the fly in those situations.
