Roy 8vo, XII, 331pp. Laminated pictorial hardcover with firm as-new spine and no shelf wear at all in pristine condition with no d/w as issued, Internal text and photos are in absolute fine condition devoid of all markings and foxing. The title is the Battalion’s motto and the 2/31st was one of three fine battalions that made up the 25th Brigade and it became one of the most distinguished units of the second A.I.F.. Over the duration, the 2/31st took on 151 officers and 2509 men . Of all ranks 251 were killed and 479 wounded totalling 730 casualties that was one of the highest rates in the A.I.F. other than the 8th Division which was taken prisoner in its entirety. They served in Syria in 1941 and South-West Pacific in 1942-45 including Kokoda, Buna-Gona and Borneo/Balikpapan.
