Clarke’s original book ‘Pen Points of Old Sydney’ as it was named was printed in 1951 and this edition is essentially revised and enlarged with a name change, and so for many years, he has captured in ink and paint his impressions of many of the State’s historic buildings, several of which have now sadly been demolished prior to the 1947 National Trust formation . So this simple attractive and concise volume does make a valuable contribution to our vision of the colony’s early day.
