This is a further successor to and development of Pirsson and Schuchert’s “A Textbook of Geology – Part II – Historical Geology” first published in 1915 and then in further forms in 1924 to 1941. It is a lovely copy written by the Professor of Paleontology and Stratigraphy at Yale University and is the definitive work on the world’s geological history detailed with b/w photos, plates and tables. It’s partner ” A Textbook of Geology Part I ” was then published as “Physical Geology” by Longwell, Knopf and Flint.
