Description

12mo, 55pp. Hardcover in stained cream boards with no d/w in fair condition with a coloured picture of the little dog adhered to the front board but with heavy shelf wear and superficial damage to an otherwise sound spine with two segments of the spine covering missing. In fair condition overall but all pages are intact though moderately tanned and the tipped in coloured frontispiece of Happy is undamaged but with significant foxing at front and rear of book. A companion to “Caesar – Where’s Master?” about King George V’s father, the late Edward VII, this book is also a dog’s personal description of life with his King and Queen. An elderly Caesar is also part of the daily life of this rough – coated terrier. It is said to be an appeal for international understanding and peace just prior to WWI.
