Roy8vo, XXIII< 265pp. Burgundy paper hardcover with bold gilt title on spine in very good condition with minor flecking on all edges and an illustrated tan d/w with details prominent on the front page in excellent unchipped condition now protected by clear archival covering, using lower quality American paper stock, there is early yellowing of all pages but no other marking, foxing or damage internally, thereby remaining in very good or better condition overall. Here is the man who gave us The Wonderful Wizard of Oz now tackling some of the most famous characters in the English language together with an imaginative artist well known in his country at the time to become a great team working on classics like Little Boy Blue, Old King Cole, Jack Horner and Humpty Dumpty to name only a few. Certainly a charming book and many of these Nursery Rhymes are complete tales in themselves.
