8vo, XXXV, 103pp. Hardcover in original burgundy smooth cloth boards, pictorially stamped (Christopher Robin) and ruled on front board in gilt as well as on the rear board (Pooh and Piglet) and also lettered and ruled on spine in gilt with t.e.g. The gilt pictures are beautifully clear and bright.The attractive Shepard endpapers are lightly toned but otherwise unmarked. There is no d/w or marker ribbon present however and it is now protected by clear archival covering. text is in very good condition with all pages appropriately lightly age-toned and none are loose or missing though there is minor hinging with stitching visible between pges 68-69 but the book is devoid of any foxing or any prior owner markings Overall it remains in very good condition. The third of Milne’s books about Christopher Robin , it is dedicated interestingly to Anne Darlington whom both families hoped would eventually marry Milne’s son Christopher Robin and is a very famous poetry collection with each chapter being effectively a separate verse or group of verses that are a real delight for any reader.
