Description

8vo, XIX, 367pp. Hardcover in a superb fine binding with gold inlay on red full leather with three bands on the the spine in absolute pristine condition, and all edges gilt with no foxing at all, text is in pristine condition and overall condition is certainly fine. This is arguably her most loved novel and is a “novel of manners”. It is so well known and follows the character development of Elizabeth Bennet, the dynamic protagonist of the book who learns about the repercussions of hasty judgments and comes to appreciate the difference between superficial goodness and actual goodness. It has even become one of the most popular novels in English literature with over twenty million copies sold. This is an excellent example of a beautiful fine binding too and is in a more manageable size than the famous Peacock editions. A wonderful present for any Austen devotee or newcomer to her works.
