Description

Sq 4to, 155pp. Hardcover in grey cloth boards with d/w in very good condition with very slight scuffing to the corners and a tiny tear to top right front corner, protected by clear archival covering, text in excellent condition with no foxing and no prior owner markings. The Porsche 928 is often felt to be one of the outstanding new creations of our era, at least for all friends of technically demanding , high performance automobiles. Of course very little is ever published about the development of a new automobile, apart from the well-known fact that design and testing take years. The Porsche 928 is one of the very few all-new creations in automobiles in the years to 1977, fresh from first bolt to last. Every part was designed from scratch – engine , gearbox, transaxle, drive line type, chassis with a Weissach axle and the body. Design and testing were naturally extensive. This is a rare book, usually purchased new and retained by a Porsche owner or mechanical engineer for a lifetime.. As would be expected, it is beautifully presented with a unique blend of technical detail and glorious colour photos throughout the narrative. A joy to own for the right person.
