Small 4to, 73pp. Limp cover with picture of artist on cover in excellent condition, text in excellent condition with no prior owner or library identifiers present. Rollin Schlicht was a painter and an architect active in Sydney’s Central Street Gallery in the late 1960’s being one of Australia’s most prodigious artists of that period and this book is a retrospective being the first exhibition to re-examine the artist’s work spanning from 1966 – 2008 noting that he had really retreated from painting to pursue his architect training in the 1980’s, not returning to painting until the late 1990’s. The book contains glossy colour illustrations of much of his work, both in full page and smaller size each with explanatory text and learned essays from art experts are also included in the first half of the book. A concise and worthy addition to any art library.
