8vo, XIV, 172pp. Hardcover in sea green cloth boards in good condition with black front board titles and gilt title on spine and no d/w and only minor hinge damage on an overall sound spine, text in good condition though with heavily tanned end-papers and mild foxing throughout though with no damage at all to the as always delightful colour plates and captioned tissue guards plus there is a simple prior collector’s name on ffep. This is a beautiful description of the the Canary Islands from a bygone era dated 1911 but is NOT the likely true first editrion which seems to have been in elaborate white cloth with a heraldic device on the front. It is nevertheless one of the A & C Black 20/- Colour Books though there is no gilt on the top edge either but it actually has a full 20 colour plates (not the 16 or 18 as elsewhere described) and the fold out rear sketch map is present. Neverthelss it is dated 1911 with no other clues to its reprint status.
