Large 4to, III, 348pp. Hardcover in blue paper boards with very slight insect scarring at top left of front board with gilt title on a sound flat spine and publishers logo on front board, and only minor shelf wear with no flecking or external foxing present plus a pictorial painted d/w also in excellent condition o/t light chipping on edges and corners now protected in clear archival covering as well, White, attractive endpapers with artistic maps of France and light foxing on the front eps but very clean otherwise; text and b/w artwork is in a pristine state throughout, devoid of any prior owner markings, thus being in a near fine state overall. A complete study of the work and times of Claude Monet compiled in a large extraordinary and attractive book. The renditions of Monet’s paintings on the finest high quality paper stock are quite stunning.
