The Fire on the Snow was first performed in 1941 and The Golden Lover in 1943 by the Australian Broadcasting Commission. The Fire on the Snow celebrates Scott’s expedition to the South Pole in 1910 while The Golden Lover is a comedy based on a Maori folk tale.
