Description
4to, IX, 128pp. Soft pictorial glossy cover in red with yellow titles and a kookaburra on a fence and further pictorial explanation on the rear cover . Minor corner bruising is the only blemish in its excellent condition and with no d/w as published, text is clean and unadorned by pen or pencil being likewise excellent, with attractive b/w endpapers. Symbolic of Australia’s celebrated apparent ‘devil-may- care’ attitude the kookaburra is unlike any other bird worldwide though being a member of the kingfisher family, one would think otherwise. So this book is an attractive tribute to Australia’s best-loved bird and is adorned by an enormous number of b/w and colour illustrations all in excellent condition.
