Amid The High Hills
Sir Hugh Fraser as a judge of the High Court was a regular contributor of sport and natural history articles to various periodicals and several of these have been combined in book form about deer stalking, salmon fishing and other pursuits in England and Scotland. The illustrations are from varied sources and although some are in colour they are not of the extreme beauty of the A & C Black 20/- Colour Books which effectively ceased publication in 1921 though this volume is somewhat in the style of that famous series. A volume nevertheless reminiscent of the lifestyle of the gentry from an earlier age.
