Bunchy

Brisley, Joyce Lankester
1956 (Reprint). George Harrap , London, England

From the English writer of the famous Milly -Molly-Mandy books first published in 1925, the Bunchy Books written twelve years later is a much rarer series about a little girl who lives all alone with her grandmother in the country and is too young for school but has no one to play with yet is never lonely because she has her own special friends such as the naughty clothes -peg people and the little wooden sailor-doll. Brisley had her first fairy story published at the age of thirteen. This book is a collection of ten separate independent stories, charming in the extreme.
