Deceiving Trout -The Flytiers Art- An International Guide
1988 (first edition).
Seto Publishing /The Halcyon Press
, Auckland, New Zealand
The flies tied for the photos in this book are by two of New Zealand's greatest fly-tiers John Morton and Brian Hussey. This slim volume is an amazingly good and simple primer for the beginner to fly-fishing and tying whilst still valuable to the flytying enthusiast as well. The diagrams are basic and not over complicated and include illustrated lessons on situations likely to be met out on the river and how to use the fly in those situations.
