Frank Lloyd Wright: The Early Work

Wright, Frank Llloyd et al
Bramhall House , New York, United States

This is a splendid and perhaps the best single source of photographs of Wright's early work and according to an American authority is "an unabridged reproduction of the contents of seven 1925 issues of the Dutch Magazine Wendingen... and included are all the original photographs, plans and drawings, exactly as they appeared in 1925. Almost all of the Dutch edition was in English," and in this edition preceding the 1994 more recent edition , the essays apparently retain the typographical oddities, awkward grammatical construction and occasional misspellings of the original. Wright (1867-1959) was "an American architect, interior designer, writer and educator, whose famous creative period spanned more than 70 years....designing structures that were in harmony with humanity and its environment, a philosophy the called organic architecture." - ref.
