This is number 58 in The New Naturalist Series concerned with A Survey of British Natural History. The importance of the hedge-row to the ecology of the British countryside can't be understated . All aspects of hedgerows in Britain are covered in this very readable work that includes 39 black and white plates, 56 text figures and 20 Authoritative tables and has only minor light toning to page edges and front and rear endpapers.
