Albert, Jane
2010. Hardie Grant Books , Melbourne, Australia

A fascinating biography of the small Australian family music publishing business, Alberts. Starting as a clock repair shop in suburban Newtown in Sydney in 1885, Albert Music is one of the country's oldest family-owned and run businesses which is now in its fifth generation of ownership. Unknown to most Australians, this company is responsible for an enormous volume of music and artists that have in many cases gone on to conquer the world, such as AC/DC and the Easybeats. It is "an illuminating, rollicking and touching journey through the extraordinary history of Australian music."
