, London, UK
With sixteen modern, artistic and attractive colour plates the stories are segregated into useful chapters such as 'Stories To Make You Laugh' and 'Stories for Children' etc. So it is essentially written for both children and adults with a translation from Italian by Sylvia Mulcahy and the Foreword explains that ''Italy had its great books of popular fairy tales long before the other countries of modern Europe and centuries before the brothers Grimm first collected and published folk stories taken directly from the oral tradition of the people''. Each tale is annotated with its region of origin too.

Condition Report
| Cover | Excellent Condition - Note: With boards in bright lemon yellow paper bearing a gold and black decorative title embossed on the firm spine and front board the external covers are faultless with no bumping or damage. Likewise the artistic wrapper is very good but wearing some chipping at both ends of the spine and the folds too. It is now also protected in removable clear archival covering and not price-clipped either. - With Dust Wrapper |
| Overall | Excellent Condition - Note: The spine is slightly stressed in the first few pages internally but it is clean and sharp still with no loose pages, foxing or notations so it is really in a near-fine state. |
