| Cover | Hardcover in dark blue cloth quarter bound and cornered in dark blue leather with five raised bands and gilt title original the sound, firm spine in very good condition with corner bruising and edge scuffing primarily original spine, with no dust wrapper as issued. |
| Overall | Top edge brown with other edges showing a fine red deckled pattern and all pages securely bound though with hinge cracking at front endpapers being the only detractor. the book is in a very good original better state overall. Probably an early rebind. |
