Some English Gardens

Elgood, George and Jekyll, Gertrude
1904 (First Edition). Longmans, Green and Company , London, England

This masterpiece of the gardening genre showcases thirty-six British gardens attached to great houses or castles, with 50 beautiful watercolours by Elgood reproduced perfectly in full colour on separate pages, with all text by the famous Gertrude Jekyll. Really a horticultural tour through Edwardian England in 1904 and now a genuine rarity in its original format, certainly very elusive in Australia.
