Firstly with the various aspects of the art of riding and secondly succinct advice to both novices and experts regarding care and training of horses, including stabling, common ailments and "vices". An old book but it is still highly regarded in the sport literature.

Cover Hardcover in dark cream boards with blue title original spine and white price clipped dust wrapper in very good condition other than minor chipping and browning of extremities with a very sound spine, now protected in clear archival covering.
Overall Text in good condition with 72 illustrations (b/w photographs) and 2 diagrams with some browning of the free end papers and a small bookshop stamp on front free end paper with no prior owner annotations original library markings present.
