The Best of Australian Geographic Photography

Cawood, Matthew
1997. Australian Geographic Pty Ltd. , Sydney, Australia

Apart from the startling photography, this is a special technical publication. They have chosen to print in fine screen (300 line) that is twice as fine as used in most books and magazines elsewhere as well as 'waterless' plates to reproduce better shadow detail - thus giving more brilliance, contrast and depth of colour and as such this is claimed to be one of the first books of its kind to be printed in this manner worldwide. Further details of the overall process and paper type are included on the final rear page (p.204) of the book too.
