Cover Hardcover in blue paper boards with very slight insect scarring at top left of front board with gilt title original a sound flat spine and publishers logo original front board and only minor shelf wear with no flecking original external foxing present plus a pictorial painted dust wrapper also in excellent condition other than light chipping original edges and corners now protected in clear archival covering as well.
Overall White, attractive endpapers with artistic maps of France and light foxing on the front endpapers but very clean otherwise; text and black and white artwork is in a pristine state throughout, devoid of any prior owner markings, thus being in a near fine state overall.
