The Lord Of The Rings (3 Volumes)

Tolkien, J.R.R
1971 (Revised 1966 Second Edition - Sixth Impression). George Allen and Unwin Ltd , London, England

No need to describe the complex narrative of this very famous work, comprising I) The Fellowship of the Ring, then II) The Two Towers and finally III) The Return of the King. A finer set of three books in this series is certainly scarce anywhere particularly in this original format. A newspaper clipping of Tolkien's obituary in 1973 is loosely inserted in the first book too.
