This weighty book is a brilliant catalogue of the collections in the New South wales Art Gallery in Australia, known to be one of the finest galleries outside of national capitals anywhere in the world. It is divided firstly into an Introduction by the great Edmund Capon describing the gallery history with its philosophy, aims and goals and then come sections on the Australian Art collection, European Art, Asian Art and then a final section labelled Contemporary Practice. Said to be very scarce particularly in Hardcover.
