Aristology or The Art Of Dining
1881 (First Edition Thus).
George Bell and Sons
, London, England
Somewhat difficult to date, with 1881 also in Roman numerals in gilt on front board, under 'Walker's Art Of Dining Edited By Felix Summerly' in gilt as well. The preface written by Summerly about Walker says the died in Brussels in 1836, fifty-five years prior to this edition, with aspects of his gastronomic philosophy being translated and published even back in 1825. An interesting and quite rare book (particularly in its red cloth) for food historians.
