Contemporary Philosophy in Australia
In the later years of the last century, Australian philosophy was enjoying a high reputation in Europe, with Australian philosophers contributing regularly to most leading relevant journals and numerous anthologies. This book was the first true collection of their works and the editors have attempted to display some of the variety, in subject matter, viewpoint, and method of argument in Australian philosophy at the time, ranging from logical theory and philosophy of science to perception theory, ethics , and the philosophy of mind. This all suggested an individuality of approach that was felt to be distinctly Australian apparently. The volume belongs to the English Muirhead Library of Philosophy edited by H. D Lewis.
