Fifty Latin Lyrics
1960.
Longmans, Green and Co.
, London, England
A classic school text for senior Latin scholars that has been well used if not always well loved, that contains fifty Latin lyric poems, 1,105 lines in total ranging from Catullus to Boethius. It is meant for sixth forms in England and was first made for mathematicians and scientists who had finished their 'O ' levels and wanted to read some more Latin with an eye to the language papers in University scholarship exams. The commentary is highly illuminating. Originally published in 1955.

Condition Report
| Cover | Good Condition - In light green cloth bound boards with dark green titles on the front board, somewhat shelf-soiled and well handled by prior scholars but is still sound with a firm (if a little tanned) spine. - No Dust Wrapper as issued |
| Overall | Fair Condition - Overall the book is better than fair but throughout the book there are various schoolboy notations and scribbles including the prior owner's name on the free front endpaper (an important past state politician) but the text is fully readable and the pages are unfoxed or damaged in any other way. So it is still very useful, readable and well bound. |
