Giorgio Morandi (1890 - 1964) ' was an Italian painter and printmaker widely known for his subtly muted still-life paintings of ceramic vessels, flowers and landscapes' [Wiki]. His work is classified as largely metaphysical and this high quality book was published on the occasion of an exhibition held at The Art Gallery of New South Wales for about nine weeks in mid 1997. This particular volume is surprisingly scarce worldwide.

Cover Excellent Condition - Note: Like Morandi's work, the soft cover with large full page flaps is in muted tones of ochre and grey with plain titles on a flat very sound spine in dark grey that extends to the rear cover with artwork examples on both front and rear. The edges and corners are sharp and unscuffed with no signs of shelf-wear. - No Dust Wrapper as issued
Overall Excellent Condition - Note: The internals are faultless with a book that has been barely opened, hence is free of all spotting and prior owner notations.
