Lawrence of Arabia On War - the Campaign in the Desert 1916-1918

Johnson, Rob
2020 (First Edition). Osprey Publishing Ltd , Oxford, England

There has been a lot written by and about Lawrence but this is actually a dedicated critical appraisal of his ideas on war, examining his guerilla campaign and his theories on strategy, juxtaposed against the operations conducted by the Ottoman Empire and those of the Allied army in Palestine. It has forty rare and intriguing black and white photograph illustrations grouped together in the centre of the book and several relevant clear maps as well.
