Naturecraft in Australia
1956.
Angus and Robertson Publishers
, Sydney, Australia
Described as 'A guide for the nature lover, bushwalker, student and teacher' it is really descriptive and non-technical in style so that it is accessible to be read by anyone interested in the bush and outdoors. An old-style book but still small enough to be carried on bushwalks and despite being over sixty years old the information is still fresh and it is said to be a very accurate handbook written by an author of several other books and who was a Biology lecturer for many years as well as Secretary and President of the Wild Life Preservation Society of Australia.

Condition Report
| Cover | Very Good Condition - Covered in light olive original cloth, the boards are undamaged with no bumping or marks plus the title is in black print on the spine which is firm and sound with no lean either. Plus the dustwrapper with a colourful photo of the Australian possum and yellow titles is still very bright though the spine has significant light fading and with widespread chipping and rubbing of all edges and corners. It is now protected with a removable clear archival covering too.- With Dust Wrapper |
| Overall | Excellent Condition - All print pages are lightly toned as would be expected but are otherwise in excellent condition as are the many black and white photography plates included. Devoid of foxing or spurious notations it does have a small area of toning to the rear endpapers due to staining from previous inclusion of a newspaper article as well as a small neat pen gift inscription on the front free endpaper. |
