Wiggins, C.H and Walker, G. et al.
1979. Library of Australian History , Sydney, Australia

This is a scholarly production from the Research Committee of Hornsby Historical Society. it is a very thorough account of the pioneers and their settlement in the broad district now known as the Hornsby Shire. Basically from Wiseman's Ferry to Berowra and even to West Pennant Hills. The emphasis is really on the families and people rather than events with careful documentation included from the pre European period onwards to the. mid 1900's. It is an essential reference for everyone looking into the history of this now large area of northern Sydney.
