The Complete Tales Of Beatrix Potter
The magical world of Beatrix Potter is revealed here in its entirety in one large deluxe, classic volume and although the stories are obviously published separately (with rare early editions attracting serious prices) , this alternative was first published by Frederick Warne (her original publisher ) in 1989 also. The texts are unabridged and complete and all the original illustrations are included, largely in the same colours being reproduced from the latest, originated printing plates so that their delicacy and detail can be seen to the finest advantage. , and all stories are entered in the order in which they were written too. Many historical notes accompany each individual story also. Her career started originally in 1901 with Peter Rabbit being self published in 1902 and most were written from her home in the Lakes District in England of course. This is surely a must for most young children's libraries.
