The World Of Jewish Cooking - More than 500 Traditional Recipes from Alsace to Yemen

Marks Gil
Simon & Schuster , New York, United States

This well loved book has already had a useful career in a busy kitchen as was always intended by the author Gil Marks, a leading expert in the field of Jewish cookery lecturing frequently at New York's 92nd Street Y Kosher Cooking School. In short a very useful reference for the appropriate owner, despite minor signs of wear but with no prior owner notations or foxing.

Condition Report

Cover Hardcover in orange papered boards quarter bound in blue cloth with brass gilt title original the still firm and sound spine. some use and shelf wear is obvious with bruised corners and slightly scarred bind edges plus moisture affected and lightly warped pages (largely in rear third of book) from years of kitchen exposure, plus a decorative white non price-clipped dust wrapper in very good condition with chipped corners now protected in clear archival covering.
Overall As above with coarse American paper stock that has partially absorbed kitchen moisture though all pages are clean and not adhered to other pages with the warping and paper changes seen to be relatively minor, not markedly detracting from the book which still remains in very good original better condition overall.
